Ukrainian Ports Forum 2019

The main purpose of the round table is to discuss main issues of practical implementation of the requirements of international and national legislation on maritime security, proper fulfillment of the duties of a recognized organization for the protection of vessels and port facilities, interaction between parties ensuring maritime security in ports, challenges of attracting public and private security organizations to strengthen and support secure stay in port.

The objective of this session is to establish:

• a dialogue among the participants ensuring maritime security
• discuss additional ways to eliminate discrepancies and barriers to ensuring uninterrupted interaction between the involved in the maritime security parties
• discuss the main fears of attracting private security organizations to enhance and maintain the port regime
• present successful international cases involving private security organizations
• present long-term plans of the USPA in matters of maritime security

Top management and PFSO of state stevedores, PFSO of private stevedores, management and heads of structural units of the State Administration of Marine and Domestic Security, including branches; representatives of the US Embassy in Ukraine, representatives of international organizations (IMO, EMSA, etc.), representatives of the Maritime Administration of Ukraine, top management of international companies in the field of security, representatives of the Southern Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service, the Odessa State Customs Service, the Office of the National Security Police in Odessa region, etc.
