International conference "Multimodal transport route: Black Sea - Baltic Sea. Development, strategy, projects"

May 28, 2021 within the framework of the 3rd annual UKRAINIAN PORTS FORUM 2021, Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority jointly with Port of Gdansk Authority and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine with the support of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Polish Investment and Trade Agency in Kyiv and Center for Transport Strategies (CFTS) have scheduled an International conference «Multimodal transport route: Black Sea - Baltic Sea. Development, strategy, projects».

The main purpose of the event is to identify practical steps to obtain a synergistic effect from the joint activities of government agencies and businesses in the organization of multimodal transportation, development of containerization and technical base of ferry terminals and the introduction of new technologies to increase trade on the Black Sea - Baltic Sea route and backwards.

The conference program consists of three blocks and includes the following topics for discussion:

  • Black Sea - Baltic Sea: strategic objectives for the formation of sustainable links for the development of the transport corridor;
  • Joint transport, infrastructure and logistics projects: synergies, opportunities and challenges;
  • Multimodal transport routes Baltic - Black Sea: practical cases.

Representatives of the central executive bodies of Ukraine, members of diplomatic missions of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Poland, seaport authorities and representatives of the railway industry of the two countries, cargo owners, ship-owners, port operators, domestic port logistics companies, freight forwarders of Ukraine and Poland and others will be invited to participate in the event.
